Deforestation
Deforestation is defined as the removal of a substantial number of trees from a forest. Our environment has long been threatened by deforestation. However, many people continue to engage in this harmful activity. Furthermore, deforestation contributes to ecological imbalance. Nonetheless, some opportunistic individuals must make a profit. As a result, they don't even consider it. As a result, the government is attempting to mitigate the environmental damage.
The primary goal of deforestation is to expand land area. In addition, this land area will be used to establish new industries. And it's all because of the population explosion. As the population grows, so does the need for items. As a result, wealthy businessmen established these industries in order to boost their profits.Deforestation has a number of negative consequences. Here
are a few of them:
Erosion of the soil: Soil erosion refers to the loss of the
soil's top layer. When trees that bind the soil are cut down, something
happens. As a result, the top layer of soil is carried away by wind and water.
Furthermore, tragedies such as landslides occur as a result
of this. Furthermore, different floods are caused by soil erosion. Because
there are no trees to divert the rainwater from heavy rains, they flow straight
to the plains. As a result, the colonies where people live are harmed.
Global Warming: The biggest source of change in our
environment is global warming. These seasons are now being pushed back.
Furthermore, their ratios are unbalanced. Temperatures are reaching dangerously
high levels. It was 50 degrees on the plains this year, which is the warmest of
all.
Trees release soil water into the environment through
transpiration, which has an impact on the water cycle. As a result, cutting
them reduces the amount of water in the atmosphere. As a result, no clouds are
forming. As a result, the agricultural fields aren't getting enough rain. As a
result, it only has an indirect impact on humans.
Wildlife is also affected by deforestation, which is a major
danger. Many animals, such as the Dodo, the Sabre-toothed Cat, and the
Tasmanian Tiger, have already become extinct. Some animals are also on the
verge of extinction. This is due to the fact that they have lost their habitat
or place of residence. For wildlife conservationists, this is one of the most
pressing concerns.
Various countermeasures can be used to prevent
deforestation. First and foremost, we must engage in afforestation, or the
planting of trees in the forest. This would assist in resolving the issue of
trees being cut down. Furthermore, plant-based products should be used more
frequently.
This would compel many sectors to plant more trees. As a
result, it will assist the environment as well. People should also grow little
plants in their homes. This will aid the environment's ability to recover.
Finally, the government should take harsh measures against individuals.
Particularly those who are unlawfully felling trees.
