Best Street Cafes in Kandy

Kandy is one of the beautiful city in Sri Lanka. Surrounded with mountains and forests it steal anyone's heart in a second. Kandy is very popular with foreigners. lots of foreigners visit Kandy in a year. As I lived my whole life in Kandy, foreigners are very similar sights to us. 

In the past 4-5 years people immerge with new concept to Sri Lanka which is Street Café. It was very popular in Kandy also. People started opening Street Cafes everywhere with eye catching environment that we haven't familiar but people loved the change. By the time they grew fast and people become regular customers of them. Leaving the restaurants they adapt the change. Also foreigners as well. They loved those cafes. Some youtubers have done videos which got viral on Social Medias.

Nowadays Kandy has so many cafes that even hard to  keep on track but talking about best those are what I prefer most.

  • Café The Vibe
It is located in D.S Senanayake Street Kandy.  It is not very visible to outside. When you go into this cafe the first sight you get is a old vintage look. everything is made out with wood. The price list shown in a black board. and yellow bulbs hands from the celling with bright light. The first sight is everything. And the food was really taste. My most favorite one is Cheese Koththu.


  • Fab Ceylon 

It is located in Katugasthota road. It is also not very visible to outside. We have to take stair case to down from the road. when going through the door you will feel how small you are. The roof is too high and the room is too big. At the entrance there is a big wall art and Sri Lankan Yaka Masks collection hanging on the wall. That is their main iconic thing. Everybody knows this is Fab Ceylon when they saw that masks. My most favorite meal in Fab Ceylon is Black Monster Burger.



  • Busy Bees
If you want to get some good pictures with cool wall arts while having a good meal you must surely come here. It is also located in D.S.Senanayake Street. Actually this one is kind a visible to road. It is in a 3rd floor of popular bank building. lots of people come here for spend some quality time with beloved ones and also stay leisurely. This cafe is filled with different wall arts. Most of people go there to see those. Also there Biriyani Rice is the best.




Those are some of the best cafes in Kandy. There are lots of cafes that even I haven't went. If you visit Kandy don't forget to go at least one of this.
